It comes with a FAST manual transmission, most often a 9-speed or 10-speed unit with a crawler gear and a robust dual countershaft design. A 12-speed option is also available for applications that demand closer gear splits. The deep reduction ratio in first gear provides excellent controllability on rough terrain.

Payload capacity varies by local regulations and body design, but as a guideline, the 6×4 model can legally carry around 20 to 30 tonnes, while the 8×4 version typically handles 30 to 45 tonnes. The high-strength steel frame and U-shaped cargo box are engineered to withstand severe impact loads far beyond the rated capacity in extreme short-distance shuttle work.

The cabin features a hydraulic cab suspension system, an air-suspended driver’s seat with multiple adjustments, and an efficient air-conditioning and heating system. It includes a standard sleeper bunk for rest breaks, and the interior is designed with improved soundproofing and dust sealing to reduce operator fatigue during long shifts.

The base warranty typically covers 12 months or 100,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. It includes the engine, transmission, drive axles, frame, and cabin structure. Extended warranties for the powertrain are often available through authorised dealers. Wear parts such as brake linings and clutch discs are covered under their own separate short-duration guarantee.

Run the engine in its green band range, usually around 1,200 to 1,500 rpm, and avoid prolonged full-throttle operation. Keep the tyres inflated to the specified pressures for the loaded weight, use the correct SAE grade low-viscosity engine oil, and never skip the scheduled replacement of air and fuel filters. Even a small misalignment of the Hande axles can significantly increase rolling resistance, so have the alignment checked regularly.

Critical spare parts, such as engine kits, clutch assemblies, and body hinge components, are generally available ex-stock. VIN-specific parts support is provided to ensure component compatibility.

Under normal heavy-duty operating conditions, change the engine oil and replace the oil, fuel, and primary air filters every 5,000 to 10,000 kilometres or every 250 working hours. In extremely dusty or muddy sites, reduce this interval by up to 30%. The first mandatory inspection service should be carried out at around 2,000 to 3,000 kilometres to flush out initial wear particles.

The truck uses heavy-duty Hande drive axles, most commonly the fully-floating hub reduction (portal) type, which provides extra ground clearance and torque multiplication at the wheel ends. Common rear axle ratios are 5.262 and 5.92, selected to offer a practical balance between grade-climbing ability and on-road cruise speed when the truck is loaded.

Before engaging the power take-off (PTO), depress the clutch fully and ensure the gearbox is in neutral. With the parking brake firmly applied and the vehicle on level, solid ground, raise the body smoothly. Never position yourself or others under a raised body unless the maintenance safety strut is locked in place. When lowering, keep the engine speed steady and avoid dropping the body rapidly, as this can damage the telescopic cylinder seals and the chassis cushioning pads.
